RELIEF WORK PAY

HAMILTON, 27th June. The Borough Council last night rejected the request of- the Labour Representation Committee to increase the relief work pay to 12s per day for single men and 14s for married'men- The borough pays' 9s and 12s , respectively. Councillor, Denz (Labour) alone . supported the increase. ■ * ■
