PARTY GATHERINGS
A meeting of members of the Eef orm Party to-day was informal and mainly concerned with practical arrangements for carrying on during the session. The Labour Party, also, was tinainly concerned with preliminaries, and- it passed a resolution of sympathy with the sufferers from the earthquake and the Palmerston North tornado. This being the first meeting of the Parliamentary section since the British elections,, a cable of congratulation was dispatched to the Labour Prime Minister (Mr. Eamsay, Mac Donald).
