TELEPHONY RESTORED

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NELSON, This Day. J.ne thief Telegraph Engineer, Mr A Gibbs, and Mr. J. M'Dermott, District Telegraph Engineer, of Wellington, are at present in Nelson in connection with arrangements for restoring the shattered services in Murchison and the surrounding districts. Every effort will be made to link un the district again. l\

■ Telephonic communication is being completed to-day with Murchison from Beefton via Springs Junction and Maruia. It is understood that the lines are very badly damaged from Wenhope to Inangahua Junction.
