TOC H SCHOOLS' SECTION
On Saturday last a social evening ivas held by the schools section of Toe H at Wakefield Chambers. Including the guests, the mothers and sisters of the members, there were about 60 people present. Singing and games formed the main part o£ the programme, but ■ items were given by W. Harvey (violin solo), G. Williams (recitation), H. Josephs (violin solo), and Mr. Beck (humorous recitation)., Dr. Bowerbank gave a short address on "The Wider Aspect of Toe H," and the. ceremony of light was held. Supper followed, and afterwards dances were arranged. On Sunday Dr. Tennant addressed a meeting of the schools' section on "Blood Transfusion." . ■ ■
China exports tea in solid lumps, like bricks, for consumption in Tibet and Siberia. The tea-leaves are pulverised, mixed with water, and moulded into hard cakes._ The bricks weigh about 51b each. In this form tea can be earned overland more easily, as it occupies less space.
