BRITISH TEAM'S VISIT

TWENTY-ONE GAMES

THREE IN WELLINGTON

On its tour of New Zealand next year the British Rugby team is to play 21 matches, including four Tests and a match with the New Zealand Maori representatives. The visiting side will have three matches in Wellington against' Wellington, the Maoris, and Now Zealand (fourth Test). Before starting their programme of matches the visitors will spend several days in Wellington; where they are duo to arrive by the Eangitata from England on Utb May. After the sixteenth match of the tour they will have an opportunity of spending nearly a week in Botorua. Provision has been made for the British team to have a full week's spell from match play before each of the four Tests. , The itinerary, which was approved by the New Zealand Eugby Union's Management Committee last night, and which is now subject to approval by the English Eugby Union, is as follows:— May 14th (Wed.)— Arrive by Eangitata at-Wellington. Advice was received from Australia that the terms of the extension of the tour to that country had been approved. The dates for the matches in Australia are:—23rd, 27th, and 30th August, and 3rd, 6th, 10th, and 13th September, the match on the last-mentioned date being in Melbourne, from which port the team embarks for England.
