PRISONERS SENTENCED

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. In the Supreme Court, Mr. Justice Smith sentenced Ernest Wade, aged 19, to three years at a Borstal institute for striking a girl at Timaru on the head with aa iron pipe. Counsel said that the accused's trouble was mental. Clarence Vernon Mills, a youth, for • attempted breaking and entering at Waimate, was admitted to probation for two years, and ordered ixt pay. costs, ' ;
