Surrey v. Essex.—Surrey, 418 (Fender 116, Gregory Peach 88) and 247 for two, declared (Hobbs, not out, 102, Ducat 105). Essex, 243 (O'Connor 76) ' and 298 for three (Cutmore 96, O'Connor 106). Surrey won on the first, innings. Warwick v. Hampshire.—Warwick 192 (Parsons 71, Sprinks taking four for 56) and 314 - (Smith 80, Wyatt 78). Hampshire, 136, and 230 for three (Fry 78). Warwick won on the first innings. '
Derbyshire v. Somerset.—Derbyshire, 385 (Slater 89, Hutchinson 13S), Welland.five for 96. Somerset, 196, Mitchell five for 67, and, following on, 179, Mitchell six for 46. . Derbyshire won by an innings and 8 runs. ■Worcester v, Gloucester .—Worcester 180, Goddard eight for 117, and 60, Parker five for 15, Goddard five^or 37. Gloucester, 242 (Dipper 66), Jackson six for 67. Gloucester woi* by an innings and two-runs. Leicester v. Notts.—Leicester, 156. Barratt seven for 55, and- 225, Barratt five for 69. Notts, 224 (Whysall 83), Shipraau five for 38, and 76 for three wickets. Notts won on the first innings. . Nothants v. Sussex'.—Northants, 254 Wensley six for 93, and 290 (Jupp-125) Wensley eight for 118. Sussex, 203 Clark four for 63, and 242 (Langridge Hot out, 101, Wensley 64), Thomas four for 53. Northants won by 95 runs. Kent v. Yorkshire.—Kent, 125, DenBis five for 42, and 140, Ehodes five for 46. Yorkshire 126, Freeman four for 24, and 140 for two. Yookshire won by eight wickets. ; Glamorgan v. Lancashire.— Glamorgan, 280 (Bell 101, Bates .73), and 108 Tyldesley four for 40, Hopwood four for 47. Lancashire, 208, Mercer five ror bo, Clay four for 52, and 183 for 2 (Iddon, not out, 86). Lancashire won by eight wickets. ■ ' Middlesex v. Oxford.—Middlesex, 367 (Lee 200), and none for 4. Oxford, 90 and, following on, 278 (Brett 79, Ford 75). Middlesex won by ten wickets.
