■ Even though the officials of the Auckland Trotting Club were compelled to retrench a,little' for their Winter Meeting, the card is still attractive. The principal event on the first day carries a £750. prize, and is a .4.29 event. The stakes in other races range from £400 "to/ £250. Prize money on the second day is on a similar basis. Nominations for all' events close on Friday next, 7th June, at 5 p.m. Nominations for the Auckland Trotting Club's 1930 Great Northern Derby close on Friday next at 5-p.m.
