WAITEMATA BRIDGE
REPORT TO BE MADE SIR JOSEPH "WARD FAVOURABLE (By Telegraph.) (Special to f'The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. "I want' to say a word about the Waitomata Bridge," said the Pritno Minister, in the course of his speech at Auckland last night. The deafening thunder of applause temporarily halted Sir Joseph Ward's elaboration of the reference. "I appreciate the fact that the bridge meets with general acceptation among those here, to-night," said Sir; Joseph with a smile. Personally, he was favourable to the scheme. A- preliminary examination would be made, and ho would, set asido £500 for obtaining a report, to be provided without delay. Some reliablo authority must flist report as to the sito of tho bridge, its cost, and how it could be made to pay.
