LONDON, 2nd June. One of the most daring and romantic •eifcage operations was begun to-day ■When Italian tugs were buoyed to an area whence it is hoped to recover £230,000 worth of silver ingots on board the P. and O. liner Egypt, which TVBS sunk in the Bay of Biscay in 1922. 1& the attempt is successful, the divers •will endeavour to secure £3,000,000 Wt>rth of diamonds from the wreck of the Belgian liner Blizabethville, which Wms sunk off Belle Isle by a German Submarine.
