SHORTT'S THEATRE.
The Him version of Marcus Clarke's famous story of the convict days in Australia, "For the Term of His Natural Life," ls now being shown at Shortt's Theatre. It ls the story of the man whose fortitude survived through years of pain and suffering and who at last found happiness. The picture contains many fine scenes and dramatic moments, Including the mutiny in the hold of the Malabar, the burning and blowing up of the powder ship Hydaspes, the escapades of Rufus Dawes through moments of excitement, and the "human ploughs," drawn by hundreds of men harnessed to the yokes like wild beasts, Eva Novak heads the cast. The second picture is 'Silent Sheldon," starring Jack Perrln.
