In a stern •truggle at the Basin Reserve, Diamond maintained their unbeaten record by defeating Petone by the odd goal in three, and finished, the championship round without a defeat. The two other senior games were also drawn, both being goalless, The V.M.C.A.-Institute game, played at Petone, was contested in a very ' lively manner, and the referee had to use a firm hand in maintaining order.
