The eourae is in good order, and there is one of the largest attendances ever at Wingatui. Eesults:— Silverstream Handicap, of 175 soys; seven furlongs.—9 Town Major (L. Woolford), 7.12, 1; 2 Bed Sea, 8.11, 2; 15 Lncky Maid, 7.8, 3. All started. Won by half a length. Time, Imin 31 l-ssee. Provincial Handicap, of 325 soys; one mile and a. quarter.—6 Malmsey, 7.0 (C. Eastwood), 1; 2 King Balboa, 8.3, 2; 3 Circulation, 7.10, 3. All started. Won by two and a half lengths, one and a half lengths between second and third. Time, 2min lOsee. • Otago Hurdles, of 375 soys; two miles.—l Lancer, 10.11 (D. O'Connor), 1; 2 TroiUus, 11,1, 2; 4 Nine of Spades, 10.2, 3. Scratched: Antrim Boy. Won by a length. Time, 3min 51 2-ssec. Wairongoa Handicap, of 235 soys; six furlongs.—2 Gieat Star, 9.0 (EmeTSOn), lj 1 Caterpillar, 7.4, 2; 2 Taboo, 8.10, 3. Scratched: Arch Arrow. Won by a length, three lengths between second and third. Time, Imin 15 2-ssee.
