MR. ROBERTSON RE-ELECTED
Mr. Peter Robertson was re-elected as Mayor of tipper Hutt by a fair majority over Mr. A. J..M' Curdy. Standing councillors were re-elected by the east ward, but two former councillors were defeated in the west ward" election. The first count results were: — MAYORALTY. Robertson, Peter 682 M' Curdy, Angus John 013 Majority for Robertson 69 BOROUGH COUNCIL. East Ward. Duff, John Owen _ 430 Guthrie, George Humphrey 41(5 Greig, William 400 Blewman, James ..' D 52 Spear-man, Charles Lawrence Alexander 32:} (The above arc elected). Hazehvood, James Thomas 319 Turner, William Herbert 31S Francis, William 257 Sutherland, Frank 2GI Wale, George Joseph Woods ISG West Ward. Hood, Mnlcolm Hopkins .'. 275 llowell, Amos 231 Cottle, Edwin William 229 (The above are elected). Jameson, Thomas Reginald 222 Johnston. John Kirkpatrick ISO Griffon, Albert Thomas 123 HUTT VALLEY POWER BOARD. William Henry Barber is returned unopposed as local representative on the Hutt Valley Tower Board.
