TABLE CLEARED IN ONE BREAK

AUCKLAND, Thib Day. . What is claimed to be a world's record snooker break of 13i was made by Mr. E. J. O'Donoghue, a well-known local player, during a friendly gamo yesterdayl morning. ; The possible is 147, and the existing world's record break, as recognised by the British Billiards Control Council, is 100, made by v Davis, of London. F. Smith, of Sydney, claims a break of lib", and a Canadian, C. Stanway, claims to have made a break of 117, but neither of these performances has been officially recognised. O'Donoghue's previous best break was 102, made at Newmarket on 24th J j, 1027. This is recOg nised as tho New Zealand record. The latest performance will be brought under the notice of the British Billiards Control Council.
At the beginning of the .game O'Oonoghue broke the reds, potting one a-rl went on to pot the remaining 14 reds and colours, finally potting .ill Mic balls ni one visit to tlio table. His opponent (lid not get a shot. In the course of the gamo lie potted nine blacks, four blues, one pink, one green, and all the remaining colours. This is tho first time all the balls have been potted in one visit to the table.
