PRINCE PRESENTS CUP

The cup tie occasioned a remarkable invasion to 1 London by excursion trains, of which tho first arrived at threo in the morning, and brought fifty thousand people from all over Britain. Portsmouth and Bolton brought their own bands, and .hundreds of individual supporters carried mouth organs, concertinas, and even portable gramophones. A cup-tie crowd is one of the noisiest and jolliest in the world. Tho day broke wet and depressing, but the conditions afterwards greatly improved. The Irish Guards Band led community singing, terminating with ' '' Abide With Mo."
When the- Prince of "Wales arrived he was received with deafening cheers. After the game tho Prince handed the cup to Sedcloji, Bolton's captain, and medals to the other players.
A telegram from tho King acknowledged tho Football Association's good wishes, and regretted that he was unable to be present.
