Young men may not kiss their girls on the moonlit beach of Rio de Janeiro unless they are soldiers, sailors, marines, firemen, or policemen. Every night the beach is patrolled by cavalry policemen, who .warn all civilians who find the beach a pleasant haven from the eyes of tho world that flirtation is strictly prohibited. All those in uniform, however, are overlooked.
