MOTH. NOT HEARD FROM
CAPTAIN CHANDLER PILOT

BLENHEIM. This Day.
Captain Hall's Avian, Captain Mercer's Moth, and Captain Findlay's Moth arived at midday from Feilding. Captain Burrell, in a Bristol, left with the others, but returned to Peilding. Captain Chandler, in the Maryborough Moth, left Feilding at 11.30, but nothing has been seen or heard of httii since. The weather is very thick on this side. Tho 'planes arriving flew very low. . A telephonic communication from Blenheim at 3 p.m. to-day-stated that five machines left Hastings this morning for Blenheim. Messrs. Hall, Moreer,. and Findlay arrived at Blenheim at mid-day, having called at Feilding. Captain Findlay and Mr. Mercer left Feilding at 11.20 a.m., and Captain Chandler and Mr. Burrell about 11.30 o 'clock. Mr. Burrell returned to Feilding, and Captain Chandler and his companion, Mr. C. A. Mac Donald, proceeded alone.
Messrs. Mercer, .Hall, and Captain Findlay reported that conditions .over the Strait were very bad from The Brothers onward, and they had to fly as low as 70ft from the water, at times. A good deal of anxiety is being felt in regard to the safety of Captain Chandler, who is instructor' to tho -Marlborough Aero Club, and his companion, Mr. C. A. Mac Donald, secretary of the club.
