LABOUR MEETINGS.
Monday and Tuesday, will be. busy days ' with' the'" Labour'; candidates for. the Mayoralty, City, Council, Hospital Board, and 1 Harbour Board. On. Monday there will be at least five meetings, commencing with an open-air meeting in the Post Office' . Square at noon. One of the most important meetings of the campaign will be that to be held in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Monday ■ evening at 8 o'clock, when the Mayoral candidate, ■Mr. W. Nash/Mr.E: Semple, M.P., and Mr. E. M'Keen,... M.P., will be : the speakers. It can be confidently expected that the Labour case against the_ present City Council policy :on many important questions will be ably Stated on the occasion. The chairman will be .Mr! J. O. Johnson, president of the Wellington Labour Bepresentation Committee, who is a candidate for the Harbour Board. A second meeting will be held on Monday night at 7.30 in St. Paul's Hall, Tinakori road. This meeting has been arranged specially to give the electors', of Wellington North a chance'to hear Labour's platform explained. Mr. M. Walsh will preside, and the speakers wi11... be Messrs.• AY. Nash (Mayoral candidate), C. H. Chapman, M.P., J. Roberts, J. Eead, and Mrs. Snow. Meetings. will . also be held on Monday evening at 7,30 at Vogeltownin Mrs.-M'Cornish's Hal], and at Mornington in the Baptist Church Hall. , '
Tuesday will be the busiest day of the campaign for the Labour candidates. During the noon-hour two openair meetings will be held, one in Bond street on the site of the now historic street-widening scheme, and another in the Post Office Square. On Tuesday night (at 7.30 in all cases) meetings will be held in Newtown Library Brooklyn Baptist Church; St. Hilda's Church Hall, Island Bay; Berhampore— Luxford street-Millward street corner— (open-air), Kilbirnie .Post. Office (openair), Miramar South School, and in the Tea Kiosk, Seat'oun. All evening meetings will commence at 7.30, with the exception: of that in. the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Monday which will open at 8 o'clock. '
