IWMs'has addressed the following letter to the Chancellor of the Otago University: "I regret that I was induced by a-newspaper report to make a statement which reflects against your council, and the Canterbury College Council regarding the application to the- Carnegie Trust. v for grants/ I gladly accept the disclaimer made by yourself and the vice-chancel-, lov, and withdraw any. suggestion of smart or dishonourable 'action ou the part of your council." . '
