AUCKLAND, This Day.

Another level crossing accident occurred in Argyle street, Mornhigside, yesterday., At about !).io a.m. a train ran into a" light motor-lorry, owned by E. Rowel), carrier, of Kingsland. The lorry, which; ; was .proceeding toward New: North, road-.and: carrying a load of '• timber, was practically across the rails when -it was struck by a«train coming Vout of .-a, siding. , The J timber and the; rear.partof; the, lorry, were lifted clean off the chassis, and: hurled down at the- side' of the crossing. The driver escaped 'injury, and.-the lorry was '.not; otherwise, damaged,'except for one Hire : being ,;torn off. Some railings ;at the. side ,of the ; crossing wero damaged. ■ '; ' ■'"■'■ •'
