MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Police and'summons cases in the Magistrate's Court yesterday were dealt with by .Mr. E. Page, S.M. Stanley Arthur Mitchell, a labourer, aged 41, was convicted and discharged for being drunk, and fined£l, in default three days' imprisonment for fighting in Lambton quay. .- _ .-■'.■■
"Shortly after 1 aan. on the 25th, this old man was found sleeping in .a tank," said Senior-Sergeant Butler, when John Donovan, aged 01, pleaded guilty to being found without lawful excuse in enclosed premises in Wakefield street, the property of Market Gardeners, Ltd. Donovan was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if- called upon within twelve months. '
Fines of £2 each were imposed on Leslie Bradley, Andrew. Albert Collins, and George Eoss, who were fdund on- licensed premises after hours. .• •
