ANZAC DAY SERVICE

NELSON, 26th April. Anzac Day memorial services were held throughout Nelson district yesterday. In the city Territorials^ returned soldiers, Cadets, Girl Guides, and Sea Scouts paraded at the, Church Steps, where the Bishop ot Nelson delivered. an address.

The Nelson Horticultural Society's Autumn Show opened to-day. . The quality of the competitive blooms is very good considering that the weather has been bad for the past two or three weeks. The decorative section was outstanding. The port of Mapua had exported 102,245 cases of apples up to 24th April: . , George Wells, aged .34,- was. sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labour ,by Justices to-day on a charge.of being idle and. disorderly and without visible lawful means of support.
