The evidpnee showed that the defendant, on a wet night,: had run into a motor-cycle and side-car, with the result that the cyclist's leg was broken. It was submitted for the defence that the collision was an accident and not duo to the defendant's negligence, for the lights of the cycle might have been momentarily obscured or dimmed. Campbell was convicted and fined £5. Alexander Claud M'Kenzie was fined £1 for dangerous driving. Alfred Henry Southee applied for a variation of a maintenance order. T.he arrears were cancelled and the maintenance of his wife was reduced from £1 to 10s a week. ;;
