GRAMOPHONE RECITAL.
A feast of music is promised with the gramophone recital to bo presented by Mr. Ernest Dawson at tho Concert Chamber on Wednesday next. An excellent programme of electrically recorded records lias been selected, and all tastes should be adequately catered for. There will be numbers by the Philadelphia, Vienna, Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, and New Light Symphony Orchestras, all of which have achieved world renown. Tho eminent instrumentalists will Includo Fritz and Hugo Krolsler, Elman String Quartet, Hclfetz, Backhaus, and Marcol Dupro (organist), and among tlio vocalists will be Amelita Galll-Curel, do Luca, Peter Dawson, Maria Olczewska, Elizabeth Schumann, Aurcllano I'crtilo, and Paul Robcson. A feature of tho recital will bo the engagement of Iho well-known basso, Mr. U.irlson Cook, who will sing Falstaffs's Drinking Song from "Merry Wives of Windsor" (Xlcolal), "When a Maiden Takes Your Fancy," from Mozart's "II Seraglio," and Mophlstnphelo's Serenade from "Faust." (Gounod). During the evening the results of municipal elections will be announced.
