"It is interesting to note that the 'plant research station at ' Palmerston North 'has yielded highly significant results and that the co-ordination of the- fleia experimental work has been attended with, the very greatest success," commented Mr. Cockayne, Director of' the Fields Division, to-day. He stated that a conference had just been held to draw: up a programmo of rosearch and extension work for the current year, and particular" ■ attention .would be given to research in grassland production sand management, with special: attention to the investigation o£ special strains of grasses and clovers.
