TRANSPORT BOARD
FARMERS' REPRESENTATION
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
ASHBUBTON, This Day.
The County Council passed a resolution protesting against, the constitution of the Advisory Transport Board, as the farming community had not sufficient representation. The chairman said that the counties, with only one representative, .would have very little say in the recommendations, although any reductions in the license fees or petrol tax would be made up by the county ratepayers.
