APPEAL TO REOPEN^ MINES United Press .Association —By Electric Tol»« graph—Copyright. ' SYDNEY, 27th March. The coal crisis has reached an. interesting stage. The Federal Prime Minister and. Mr. ; Bavin confer to-night. Great pressure is being brought to bear upon them by tradespeople in the coal areas to settle the dispute, as it is proving ruinous to them. The miners' Parliamentary representatives arc daily; making fervent appeals to reopen the' mines, as tho miners' families are starving. In the meantime the ' coal owners are passively resisting, declaring that they do not want Government interference.
