RUGBY, 26th March. Tho Eight Hon. Montague. Collet Norman was to-day re-elected governor of the Bank of England. . Before the war the governorship of the bank'was held in rotation, and.,not for more than a year unless in exceptional circumstances, but Mr. Norman will this year complete a decade of governorship. During his years of office Mr. Norman has been in America on many occasions in consultation with the financial authorities of the United States, and a tributo has been paid to tho valuable services he has rendered to his country in dealing with post-war financial problems.
