1 A series of rather vigorous low pressuro waves continues to move over the Tasnian and across Southern Mew Zealand, causing strong winds between north and west to prevail, with unsettled conditions generally. Most districts have had rain, which has been heavy at places with, a westerly aspect south of New Flymouth but elsewhere light or moderate. Following are some of the total falls for the past 24 hours' up till 9 a.m. to-day: Cape Maria Van Dleraen 47 points. East Capo 49, Wanganul 28, Foxton 44, Wellington . 52, Cape Campbell 10, Farewell Spit 225, Stephen's Island 40, Westport 51, Greymouth 39, Tophouse 90, Arthur's Pass 59, and Puysegur Point 48 points.
