EASTBOURNE FERRY AND BUS SERVICE.
The management of the Eastbourne Perry and Bus Service draws attention tof special attractions*for Sunday, 31st March. Miss Lily Copplestone, of Ashburton, will attempt the harbour swim, leaving the; Eastbourne Fery Wharf, Wellingtoni about 10.30 a.m. and expects to arrive ay Eastbourne early in the afternoon. Shej will'be accompanied at various stages ot the journey by several well-known cliam« pion lady swimmers, including Miss Kath* leen Miller. Arrangements have beeoj made for a well-provisioned boat to ac< company the swimmers on the journey,and if the weather and climatic condition^ aTe favourable there Js every possibility; of the swim being accomplished in record time. An attractive time-table has beeni drawn'up for both the ferry and bus seii vice for the Easter holidays, and visitors and residents should avail themselves oE the opportunity of a trip to Wellington* favourite seaside resort. There are miles of beautiful safe sandy beach and acres oj picturesque bush. The grass and asphalt tennis courts are available for tennis ent thusiasts. A special bus service has beei| arranged for Petone residents during Eas>* ter week.
