At tho Magistrate's Court this morning, Eobert Turner, aged 19, pleaded guilty to unlawfully converting a car valued at £350} to his own nso. The accused and another man touifc £ke ear from a private garage, drove it to "Wellington, changing the number plates on the way. They abandoned tho oar at Kaiwarra. Eho accused, who had given himsolf up, was . sentenced to one month's imprisonment, to be followed by twelve months' probation. He was ordered to pay the car owner £20, the cost of the repairs.
