(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day., Speaking at a meeting of the Otago and Southland Presbyterian Synod, Professor Davis said that, in view of the fact that there was a dearth of ministers of the Presbyterian Church in many parts of the world, he wondered if it would.bo wise for them to call a halt or in any way to discourage men from entering the Church. He had recently boon in Australia, and the position of the Church, in New South Wales was really serious. There was a dearth of ministers, and a vast aniount of work to bo don.c." It was not a question of money.. They seemed to have a superabundance of that. There was a dearth of men. If they had tho men here, and the Church was rich enough to train them, ' should they not encourage the men to go to Australia?
