BRITANNIA THEATRE.
"Romance of the Underworld" is the picture at the head of the programme at the Britannia Theatre. Mary Astor is the heroine. She appears as a pii-1 who is forced "to eke out a livelihood as an entertainer in a low saloon. She sickens of it all, decides to regenerate herself, and becomes, after hardships, a secretary, but she is handicapped by a former acquaintance, a good-for-nothing. Eventually she marries her employer, becomes a mother, and is saved from "Derby Dan," the blackmailer, by a friendly detective in .a most sttrprisinc manner. Robert Elliott, who won fame us the detective in "Broadway" on the stage, is excellent In this production In a similar role. The second picture is "A Certain Young Man," starring Ramon Novarro and Marccline Day. It is a sparkling comedy.
