EASTBOURNE FERRY AND BUS.
The management of the Eastbourne Ferry and Bus Service draws attention to special attractions for Sunday. Arrangements "have been made for C. E. Clarldge to attempt the harbour swim from the Eastbourne Ferry Wharf, Wellington, to Day's Bay. Such well known swimmers as D. Murrell,' TJ. Shannon, J. Blakeley, and C. Eversleigh, will accompany the swimmer at various stages on the journey, and the venture has every prospect of success. A well provisioned boat will accompany the swimmer, and particular attention is being paid to every detail. His Worship the Mayor of Eastbourne will officially welcome Clarldge if .he is successful in reaching Day's Bay. Special buses are running from the Library, Wellington, and an extra bus service has been arranged for Petono patrons, buses loaving Petone every hour. The beach and the bush are delightful at the present time, and there are also ample grass and asphalt tennis courts for all. Patrons are requested to take advantage of the glorious round trip, bus out and boat home. Arrangements are also being made for a band to be in attendance and play on tho boat on the journey across the harbour.
