Proposals for the adoption of' uni« form hospital fees were brought'before the Hospital Boards' Conference^ on tho recommendation of the executive. After considerable ' discussion, tHe. pro* posal was rejected on the grounds that they would cause financial hardship, as increases were involved in the cases of/ many hospital boards. Suggestions were made that the scale of charges for. hvpatients at general hospitals should be 12s per day for adults, and' 6s for!, children' under fourteen years. •. .'..•• :
