Messrs. G. London and A. Coles, J.P.s, •saupied the Bench at the sitting of the Petone Court yesterday. William Childs was fined 10s for behaving in Jackson street in a manner calculated to obstruct passers-by,

John Healey pleaded guilty to being found helplessly drunk and was remanded to appear at Wellington next Monday.

Judgment for plaintiff by default, was given in the following undefended civil cases: N. E. Willis v. A. Mead, £2 15s; Hutt Cabinet Co., Ltd., v. Pearl Williams (separate estate), £7 2s 6d; C. M. Firman v. W. Saussey, £7 4s; N. E. Willis v. F. Ashten Warner, £11 12s.

In the defended case of J. Walsh v. B. Behrent judgment was given for the plaintiff for the amount claimed, £0 9s lOd. ' _____
