JOHNSONVILLE CLUB

The annual meeting of the Johnsonville Rugby Football Club was helii last week, Mr. A. A. Moore presiding over an attendance of over seventy members. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. '

C. Chancy, F. Jacobs (chairman), A. H. Carman, H. D. Morgan, E. Perry man, S. D. Shearer, and A. E. Cook; delegates to W.R.F.U., Messrs. H. D. Morgan, S. D. Shearer, and F. Jacobs; gymnasium trustees, Messrs F. Jacobs and fi. D. Morgan; hon. auditor, Mr. C. R. Richardson.

A photograph of the late It. J. H. ("Dick") Mason was presented by his father, Mr. D. F. Maeon, of Khandallah, to be hung in the committee room at the gymnasium. Mr. W. King, in memory of his late son, Mr. Jack King, donated a trophy for the most enthusiastic and valuable member of the club, both on and off the field of play. The donations were gratefully accepted by the president, and those present stood in silence for one minute in memory of these two young men, the loss of whom was a, very severe one to the club. A number of new playing memberß were elected, and it was hoped that extra teams would be available this season. The question of the grading of teams was referred to the committee for decision. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. A. A. Moore (chairman), Mr. R. Cook (retiring hon. sec), and Mr. W. P. Carman (assistant hon. sec).
