'Tho Hutt Valley Gun Club .held a-shoot on Saturday last, being favoured with a imu afternoon. The first match, which was' 1 for Mr. S. Scott's leg-in trophy, was a 21-biid handicap, and Mr. N. Irvine secured the lcgiin. The following wore the scores and handicaps :—N. Irvine (12 yds), 17 breaks; C. I'carnb (20yds), 10 bieaks; A. Caldwcll (17yds), 1G breaks; J. Brascll (15yds), 10 breaks; A. Scott (10yds), 15 bieaks: It, Smith (13yds), 15 breaks; Dr. An&on (llyrls), 15 breaks; Dr. Cohen (llyds), 14 breaks; J. Scholcs (10 yds), 12 breaks; C. Moore (17yds), 11 breaks; Dowsctt (15yds), 11 breaks; S. Scott (11yds), 11 breaks;' Hill (13yds), 10 breaks; W. Donovan (—), 20 breaks (not a competitor). The next match was a 15-bird handicap for a trophy donated by Mr. A. Caldwell. This match resulted in a tie between A. Caldwell, W. Smith, and J. Cave, A. Caldwell winning on the shoot-off.
