BUN OVER BY MOTOE-CAR

MAN DIES IN HOSPITAL

A married man, Percy B. Phipson, aged 52 years, of. 158 a, Moleswortti street, was run over in Ballance street about 10 o'clock last night by a motor-car driven by Mr. George Mitchell, and died at the AVellington Hospital early this morning. From the information they have, the police at present are not able to say definitely whether the deceased was actually knocked down by Mr. Mitchell, or whether he was lying in the road before Mr. Mitchell drove his car along the street. Mr. Mitchell felt a bump, and on getting out of his ear found the deceased. He was taken immediately to the City Ambulance ■Station, and from there was removed to the AVellington Hospital, where he was admitted at 10.15 p.m. , ■ The deceased was chief brewer for the Wellington branch of New Zealand Breweries, Ltd.
