AUTOMOBILE CLUB
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—lf there were anything mor« wanted to seal the reputation of the Wellington Automobile Club, it is supplied, adequately, by its latest break in connection with its sponsorship of a belated complaint against the Hutt road pier. This sort of thing- brings discredit not only to the executive but to the club as a whole, and as a member I protest most emphatically to this stupidity. There may have been an honest difference of opinion amongst motorists when the pier was first suggested, but very few are now not convinced that there is no danger whatever. Fancy anyone in his senses asking for the'steel and concrete structure to be taken down now! My repudiation of the conduct of the club's affairs unfortunately does not absolve me as a unit in membership, and I have to share the opprobrium/— I am, etc.,
THE MULE,
