PRIMARY SCHOOLS' CHAMPIONSHIPS
About 200 pupils from the Wellington' primary schools competed in the annual competition for the Shields Memorial Trophy, hold at the Te Aro Baths on Wednesday morning. The following qualified for standard certificates: B. Thwaites (Clyde Quay), 50 yards and 75 yards; M. Pilcher (Kilbirnie), 70 yards; S. Grouusell (Clyde Quay), 70 yards and 100 yards; It. Henderson (Mutt Central), 75 yards and 100 yards.
The' presentation of the Shields Memorial Trophy will take place at the schools' carnival on 16th March, when the remaining championship events will also bo decided.
