EMPIRE CANCER CAMPAIGN

A public meeting, called by, the Mayor,'the president of the New Zealand branch' of the British ;Medieal Asj sociation (Dr;' J.tS. Elliott), and the chairman of the Wellington Hospital Board (Mr. C. M. Luke) will bo he]d in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, tomorrow evening to form a New Zealand branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign, of which His Majestey the I King is patron, and the Duke of York is president. The campaign has' the suppfirt of the medical profession of Great Britain, and at a recent meeting of the executive of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association a resolution was passed heartily endorsing the movement. The' speakers at the meeting to-mor-row night will include the Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward), Mr. Sampson Handley, a world authority on cancer, and Dr. JV'S. Elliott. In hjs address Mr. Sampson Handley will indicate in what way Now Zealand.can assist in the movement. ■ . ....
