The acceptors include horses from as far afield as Trentham.. . The track at Napier is usually in good order even in dry weather, because of natural irrigation. In addition a light rain has fallen. Bernera and Sylvan' Dell have the most attractive form, and with Bernera not too reliable as yet at the barrier, Sylvan Dell is the best proposition on paper. Her winning effort at Dannevirke, after being stopped in the straight, was realty commendable. White Fang seems better at that distance, too, but at 8.2 he cannot be discarded. The Gisborne representative Singleton is a very useful galloper. Concentrate probably will need the race, for he has had a short'let-up. Blimp should bo suited by the. track. Of the lightweights. High Court will be in demand.
