PRESENTS NEW ZEALAND LAMB.
That a Christinas present of-a prime New Zealand lamb is miich appreciated, by the recipient at Home; is; again demonstrated by a large batch of letters which have just come to hand from the London manager of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. The following are typical, and indicate the value of this arrangement as an advertising medium, whereby our prime New Zealand lamb ' is" introduced into places where it v was hitherto unknown:— ■ ■ , .-
"I have to acknowledge receipt of.the lamb sent by ——, of New Zealand, through your Department. I'might say that the same gentleman has very kindly sent me a lamb for Christmas for many years, and it has been the means of numbers of,friends and others in my locality now. buying New.Zealand meat—and it does not stop there. They often recommend it to others. I have been the means of a large number of people buying New Zealand meat, as I am always telling my friends there is not a finer and more loyal country in the' world than New Zealand." "I received the carcass of lamb safely. It'was beautiful, and had been very carefully handled. It is- delicious. I have six neighbours, and I gave them each a small piece to taste, and like myself I am sure they will in future insist on buying New Zealand lamb."
"We received the lambs 'in excellent condition, and in good time for Christmas dinner. We distributed most of them to our friends and relatives, and all those that partook.of it gave it the highest of names, and we all said there is none to equal it in quality—it was grand." "I am writing to "inform you that the lamb arrived- in splendid condition, and that all my friends with whom I. shared it are'of the same opinion as myself—that it was in advance in quality and flavour of the Home product. I shall have no hesitation in advising all'my friends and relatives to buy New Zealand lamb in the future." "I am in receipt of carcass of lamb, and we are all surprised and delighted with same, as it has been a revelation both as to cleanliness and also to flavour. I am sure that if we can buy anything as good as that locally, we shall certainly be customers." "The lamb arrived safely and in good condition. My butcher said he had never had a better. We found it splendid. I distributed joints to people who have scorned "frozen foreign meat," and they have all had to declare tliey had never tasted better "Welsh larrib.f I then explained that it was New Zealand—and they were amazed."
