Washaways and slips, occurred in! various parts of the Bullcr district as a result of the heavy rain yesterday, and to-day a bridge it the Island Creek ioop line is in danger of being carried away. Blasting operations hare been.' resorted to / to remove tho logs which are threatening the ,bridge. A ' big washout occurred on tho railway line near Birchfield, compelling a temporary; suspension of railway services.
