United Press Assodatlon-^By Electric Tele-

LONDON, sth March

The Geneva correspondent of "tho "Morning Post" states that a wearylooking body of statesmen gathered round the Council table for the opening meeting of the fifty-fourth session.

Sir .. Austen Chamberlain was pale from his recent illness; M. Briand was obviously worn out with fatigue; Dr. Stresemann was white as a'ghost, and Signor Seialoja (Italy), tho chairman, spoke so wearily"that the public scarcely heard a word.

A well-known American likened the meeting to a consultation of the sick doctors of Europe. '.',

Everyone was delighted that Sir Austen Chamberlain was again able to take his place in the Council Chamber. ■^ .'
