INSTITUTE
At the annual meeting of the Institute Rugby Club held last night at the Institute Hall,: Tasman street, the attendance was the largest in recent years, and keenness was very much evident among the players. The president .(Mr. Parton) was in the chair, and the .'following officebearers were: appointed:—Hou. • president, the Mayor, M r.G. A. Troup; president, Mi 1. Parton; club secretary, Mr. R. Whitehead; club captain, Mr. L. Mills; vicecaptain, Mr. L. Beere;: club coaches, Messrs. F. Thomas 'and M'Nair; committee, Messrs. 0. Burt, E. Westward, V. Kerwin, Eay Churchill, R. M'Nair. Mr. Parton spoke of the fine spirit shown during the past season, and he said that he was confident that Institute Rugby would not fail to grow and be a great success in the near future. It was resolved to enter at least three teams this year, third, fourth, and seventh. Mr. W. J. Jordan also spoke on the geenral improvement shown during Inst year.
