CHKISTCHURCH DECISION

CHRISTOHURCH, 4th March. The Christehurch City Council decided to-night on a party division to seek legislation enabling it to undertake the sale and distribution of milk in tho city, with power also to prohibit the sale and.distribution of milk in the city by private individuals.

An amendment to defer tho matter for six months was defeated. The Labour Party on tho council voted solidly for tho motion, all the other councillors opposing it. . X
