Round tho themo has been written a most exciting talo of an editor who attempts to protect tho public from tho ramifications of a cotcrlo who seek to rob it, but ,in spite of threats against his life, which aro eventually successful, ho keeps faith with his readers. When ho dies at tho hands of an assassin his son picks up tho banner from his falling hand and carries on the good work. There ■is a delightful lovo Interest running through the film, which helps to make it doubly interesting, while tho views of a newspaper office at work form a flno background for ona of tho most interesting stories screonod hero for some time. Marcelino Day occupies tho leading feminine role, and Lewis Stono plays opposite to her. Included In the supporting cast is Henry B. Walthall and a number of other clever players. A gazetto .is also shown. On the musical side of tho programme, tho Orchestra do Luxe played selections from Gilbert and Sullivan operas as an overture; and Gounod's "Serenade" as tho entr'act ;
